With NINETEEN shows in the month of September, this was the busiest month we have ever had in our illustrious 14-year career! Somehow, we did not unravel, and in fact, we thrived! We played some of the most exciting shows of our lives, pouring our hearts out onstage and whipping the crowds into a frenzy.
Here are a few unglamorous road tips we now swear by to keep us healthy on these long tours. Abbie has a 10-minute youtube cardio video she commits to doing first thing in the morning, Molly has a phone-alarm set for drinking plenty of water, and Laurie wears compression sleeves on her knees to make sure she can wear those high-heeled stage booties night after night! As for Craig and Eben, well, they just keep the lines of communication open and focus on FUN!
Speaking of fun, we had a blast at The Musical Instrument Museum in Pheonix- I think we were each in tears at some point, this place is INSPIRING!!!!! The last night of the tour we found ourselves sardined together on purple couches eating crudites and watching "The Breakfast Club" - who's life is this?!? Thank you City Winery Boston!
Thank you ALL for coming out, and thank you presenters, sound-techs, and hospitality heros who made this stretch of touring a memory-filled, good-food fueled adventure of a lifetime.
We love you!!
See you on CAYAMO CRUISE in FEBRUARY!!!
